Paisley Johnstone & District Youth Football League


My name is Elizabeth Canning and this is my fourth season as Disciplinary Secretary, and second season as General Secretary in the Paisley & District Youth Football League.I was voted in as General/Disciplinary Secretary of the Paisley Johnstone & District Youth Football League at Hampden in May. I am looking forward to meeting you all in the future.


As we head towards the amalgamation meeting of the Paisley & District YFL and the Johnstone & District YFL, to officially recognise the start of the Paisley Johnstone & District YFL, to be held on 28thFeruary, 2011, we need to democratically elect two new members to the Executive Committee. These positions have arisen due to the resignation of the previously elected members:-

  • Mr Dougie Craig
  • Mr Joe Gibson
  • Mr Billy Baird

The positions we need to fill are:-

  • Vice Chairperson
  • Small Sided Games Coordinator (previously titled Developmental Secretary)

If you wish to stand for any of these positions please following the election procedure detailed below:-

·Email me your nomination which must be seconded by a member team.

·The namedsecondermust email me separately confirming your nomination.

·Both nominee and seconder MUST attend our meeting on 28thFebruary.

·All nominations MUST be received by me before midnight on Wednesday, 26thJanuary, 2011.

·Please note that No more nominations will be considered after this date.

Nominations received will be announced at the amalgamation meeting, where the normal election to office procedure will be carried out.There will then be a democratic vote, show of hands, and the successful member will be elected.
