All teams to play their fixtures as normal for the 24th and we have a gala day for Donnie's memorial at Lochwinnoch from 10am, until 1 pm, with bouncy castles and other fun activities.

Welcome to the Johnstone and District Youth Football League website. This web site was the suggestion of a parent from one of our teams. after our conversation which centered around communication between the league the coaches and parents. i hope that we parents, coaches and committee, can use this forum to promote the philosophy of the Johnstone and District League, which is to provide a platform for our children to play non competitive and the leagueenjoyable football, on a Saturday morning and spoil the chance of a long lie on our day off! As a parent and football coach, i became involved in football, as i wanted to provide the opportunity for my sons to play football and enjoy healthy activity. But i became frustrated by the level of competitiveness, not by the kids but by the parents. so i became involved in the Johnstone and District committee around 4 years ago and have been league secretary for 2 and a half. i have always had the aim of trying to have a league that young people can develop under good coaching, with good facilities and a safe environment.

There is a set of rules which we at the Johnstone and District would greatly appreciate full support from all coaches and parents. to ensure consistency. as part of your child playing within the league we ask all teams to sign coaches charters and have all the kids within their teams to get their parents to read and sign parents charters. Please take the time to read these.

JAD FootballNo one person show!
This is by no means a one man show, we are very fortunate to have a very dedicated committee. The other hard working guys Joe, who will bug the life out of teams for their parents charters, then Mark, who has a very difficult task as Child Protection Officer, he is a very committed guy with a great deal of experience as a principle teacher! Billy {the Barrow Boy} Baird. this year we bring on a few new guys, Robert Clark and Robert Ingram, although they share the same first name they assure me that they are not related! Then we have Gerry Coyle from Glenbrae colts, he is a busy man and would prefer if people would contact him by e mail!.

League Administrator
For the first time since the leagues inception, we have a league Administrator, Karen Wilson who will also look after the accounts and the fines for the league as well as updating the website.
